Default Crimson Trace light/laser on Shield EZ

Just passing along information for others should they choose to install a light / laser on their EZ .380. I'm mid-60's with less than superman eyesight. Been installing some form of laser or laser / light combo on my pistols and really like what they offer. I do use the irons 99% of the time so the lasers are for a just in case scenario. My 9mm Shield sports a Viridian.

Anyway, I installed a Crimson Trace CMR-204 today on the EZ and used the #3 insert. Feels rock solid and will shoot it soon. Needed an OWB holster with this combination so ordered a Black Rhino Concealment TCSL. Not here yet but the one for my CZ P07 has been quite frankly the ticket so far. Hope this proves helpful to somebody. Good luck!

Sighted in the laser at 15 yards. Not sure if I got lucky or what but this pistol has all the accuracy a shooter could want quite honestly. Shot out to 25 yards at steel plates. The Black Rhino holster fits the combo perfectly which I've come to expect with that company!

Thanks for the info. The wife wants one for her EZ, but wants the laserguard version, with the auto on once you grip the gun, but they do not have that version(yet?) - She has this version on her LC9s and likes it.

Is the activation of that universal version just by pushing the button on the side?

Yes, very easy to activate by tapping the switch on either side. Has 4 modes. Shot from 15 to 25 yards yesterday in bright sunlight and could see the green dot on the target with no problem.
