New to the forum
Hello Everyone!
I am new to the forum. I purchased an M&P 9 Shield two weeks ago and love it! That says something for me because I have had bad experience with S&W products. I own several Rugers including a Security 9. I love the gun, bit it is a bit large for cc. That is why I purchased the shield. Any advise or comments about the shield would be appreciated!

Great little gun. Is it a 1.0 or 2.0? I put a hogue handall slip on grip on my 1.0 that made it fit my hand better. Some folks don't like the 1.0 trigger but I never had any issues with mine. Enjoy it!

Mine is a 1.0. I am like you, I do not see any problem with the trigger. Thanks for the reply S&W Wheel Gun!

Love the first version shield. I have an Apex duty carry kit in it, factory night sights, hogue handall grip and streamlight tlr-6. Great gun, I carry it 95% of the time. Highly recommended.

Welcome mines only about 3-400 rounds through it . More accurate than I am. Love it.

My wife and I each own one. We have owned them since shortly after the time of their release on the market. We have had absolutely no problems with them and we both like the stock triggers just fine. And the Shields carry very nicely as well! They are much more than sufficiently accurate in the bargain. We prefer the 124 grain loadings, both for practice and personal protection duty.

Not sure which S&W products you've had bad experiences with, but you'll be hard pressed to find a more reliable carry gun than the Shield. And yes, if you're not completely happy with the stock trigger you can always go the Apex route. Good luck with your purchase!

Welcome to the forum. Get an Uplula to help you load. Also an extension for the seven round magazine (for your pinky).

New to the forum
2k rounds through my 1.0, not a single issue with several different brands and weights of ammo. Carry 147gr HST as my SD ammo. I put talon grip tape on mine to get a better purchase. I also found just a little tighter grip has made me more accurate. Love the gun and it is a perfect carry size.

I have two Shields, a 9mm and a 40 s&w. Both shoot like a dream. The 9mm's grip is a little thin for me but fits the wife just fine. I put the Hogue slip on grip on the 40 S&W and it fits me better. I would second the Uplula idea, sure makes life simpler on strong mag springs. One note on the grip, it is a real pain to put on because it is so tight but it can be done.

I had a bad experience with a model 638 air weight. What a piece of ****. That gun would not hit the broad side of a barn @ 7 yards! The worst part was, I traded a Ruger SP-101 in for it. Boy was I stupid!

Thanks for the advise. I need to get an Uplula, but I already bought the grip extension for the 7 round mag. It works great!
