New all the way around
Well, I am a new member to the S&W family and a new member to the forum.
Love the weapon, it handles like a dream over my Taurus PT111
I am looking for holsters for the 2.0 4" and seem to only find stuff for the 3.5" or full size.
Any feedback would be great.

First off, welcome. Good crew here.
I’m not sure what gun you have. Generally, a holster sized for your gun but for a longer slide/barrel combo will work fine. Longer holsters are usually more stable. They will also allow you to upgrade to an extended (threaded?) barrel if you ever want. It depends on what position you carry.

I have the MP 2.0 9mm, 4" barrel.
I have the alien gear 4.0 for my Taurus, and figured I can get the shell for the MP full size, it's a 4.25" barrel.

Look at the M&P 2.0 40 for a 4" barrel. Same frame size.

I have a 2.0 9mm 4inch and use a Vedder Light Tuck IWB. Great holster. I have it on right now at work.

Lobo Leather will make a holster for it. I have several Lobo holsters and after they break in (tight when new) they are great. They make them specific for the gun.

Welcome! I carry my 4.0 in a Bravo Concealment OWB. I highly recommend them. I prefer Kydex to leather.

Foxtrotconcealment has a kydex IWB holster, and may have others as well. Call them to see if they have what you need. I love his products, and the price is right! He has really fast delivery!

I don’t understand how hard it is for the manufacturers to trim off 0.4” from the existing 4.0” kydex shells. I can do it too, but it would probably void any warranty!
I’m looking at Blackarch holsters proteus M which is over $80. Not something I want to void the warranty on. But may have no other choice. At least at the moment.

So I ended up getting the alien gear shape shifter shell for the full size 9 M&P. It fits perfectly and you can see the .25" gap at the bottom.
I only did this since I have the shape shifter system, but was worried the frame may be different.
Only set me back $33.
Figure I'll roll with this till something unique catch my eye.

I just got a holster for my Ruger SR9C from the Holster Store. Formed for the specific gun. Might investigate if they make one for the S&W, bet they do. While fairly rigid, bet its more comfortable than any Kydex material can be.
I also got a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster for the SR9C. Works GREAT! Doesn't "print" in the pockets of a pair of "cargo" shorts. Easy draw, don't need to dress around it or sinch up a belt to make for a smooth draw out of the IWB holsters I prefer. Don

I have a Desantis Speed Scabbard (leather OWB pancake holster), and an OnYour6 OWB and IWB kydex holster. I plan to use the kydex for IDPA and training, the IWB kydex when I really need it to be concealed, and the most comfortable of all, the pancake holster mainly for EDC.

Holster position and type vary so much but for me I personally like the comfort of the stealth gear owb ones. I like the draw from the kydex a bit better but have a couple leather shoulder holsters (diamond d and high noon that aren’t bad for the money). For all kydex have a bravo concealment that works well and is mostly comfortable for me.

I like how kydex “clicks” for retentiom and is adjustable on most holsters.
How does the leather formed and pancake holsters retain the weapon? I do not want a thumb break holster. Some prefer that mind of retention, I do not. But love the idea and “warmth” of leather over synthetic things.
