Default 2.0 trigger question

Hopefully I can articulate this... On my 2.0C's trigger return, there is an audible and tactile reset point, but then the trigger continues forward a little bit no matter how slowly and carefully I am riding it. So that when pulling the trigger again, there is a little bit of takeup before it hits the resistance point. Very similar (but much less than) a Browning Hi Power.

It's not a problem in slow fire, but when I speed up I tend to slap the trigger (I blame 100K+ rounds worth of Glock muscle memory... once a Glock trigger resets, it's at the break wall immediately).

So my question is this. Do any of the aftermarket trigger products address this particular characteristic, or is this something I just need to deal with? Alternatively, does anyone have any experience addressing this through judicious tweaking or polishing?

Hopefully I have explained this well enough, and thanks for looking.

That's just what a two-stage trigger does.
The reset isn't supposed to be the point of final travel on a forward return, it's just the point where the mechanism resets itself for a trigger pull.

Unless I'm not understanding your question.

My Glocks do the same thing.

Thanks for the reply, but not what I'm talking about. Yes, if you go beyond the reset point into takeup, that's one thing, but I've had plenty of 2 stage Garand/M1A and Glock triggers that don't exhibit the characteristic to which I am referring.

Then I can't offer you anything useful.
My apologies for mis-understanding.

My sample 2.0 Compact shoots & resets & shoots & resets fine.
I've never paid any attention to the difference between my two custom Hi-Powers & any of my 2.0 Smith triggers.
Never analyzed to that level.

I just shoot 'em.

I'm nowhere near that level of elevated consciousness where what you describe would have the slightest bit of importance whatever.

Good luck in your quest for a solution to a problem I don't have.
No sarcasm.
Hope you work something out.
Denis

The apex duty carry kit with the aluminum trigger I bought solved all my trigger issues. I know what you're talking about and it's not AS bad with the apex kit. It performs similar to what you described with your Glock. I have one in my 2.0 fs and my 1.0 shield
