Hi,

They can’t tell me when they were made but the last one they sold Serial Number is HRR0491.
Anybody know when this Pistol was Made?
Thank You

Hello
Thank You for your answer. I wish I had the Box. But I do not.

What is your concern? If it's new, it will be recent.
The serial # of a previous sale is irrelevant. In fact, I'm surprised they gave it to you.

Could be Someone’s Old Stock
Hi,
The Customer Service Rep. Said Sometimes they Buy Stores Old Stock. So it could be New in Box but Made in 2015-16 is what he told me.
I don’t want a Model Made before 2018. That’s just my Personl Feeling.
Thank You
Peter

Peter,
I think the rep told you the truth. Buds buys guns from wherever
they can get a good deal in bulk. I bought a M&P 9mm 1.0 in Dec. 2017.
Checked with the factory and it was made in Jan 2016. Where did it sit for almost 2 yrs? They certainly don't get them from S&W direct like this. Probably got them from a distributor who had a bunch sitting around. The 1.0 was brand new in the box, just made almost 2 yrs ago before I bought it.

Hi. Thank You.
Hi
Very Helpful Information. That’s why they are 100 cheaper then in a Gun Shops by me.
I did find a Shop on Long Island, NY that said they have in Stock before I Buy it I want to see the Date Code on the Case.
Thanks For the Great Helpful Information.

Peter,
I had previously thought that Buds was a major distributor of S&W. They are, in a way. However they do get guns from wherever they can get a good deal, whether its S&W or a major
distributor.
All of my previous purchases from Buds were manufactured within a few months of sale to me. However the M&P 1.0 was
a little different. While it was a perfect new gun on arrival, S&W
states the serial no. was manufactured almost 2 yrs before I got it. I had no problems with it, but as I said, it made me wonder where it sat for almost 2 yrs.
I got a Rock Island .45 Match pistol that came to Buds from
another major distributor, and not from Armscor which was quite surprising to me. I had thought that Buds handled RIA
like S&W.

OK, that makes sense.
FYI, I went to college in Oakdale and lived in Islip for a few years.
