SMITH & WESSON 2018 Summer Savings Issues
I purchased a 2.0 Compact in July.
Sent in my paperwork (online) and confirmation and issued emails were sent to me.
The original process said 8-10 weeks but an email put it at the end of July.
I hit the 8 week mark and called the number listed and had difficulty reaching a person. When I did, they said I called the wrong number and transferred me to another number. I started to get frustrated because I had to go through the same automated process to speak to a person.
I finally got to talk to someone who killed my original rebate card and sent a new one.....another 10-14 days of wait.
Anyone having the same issues?

They are using a contract company and had problems with past rebates. You will get it but it won’t be quick...

I hope I'm wrong, but it feels like they're trying to out stubborn you. Like they're trying to push you off until you give up.
This is why I don't like rebates. If I want something and it has a rebate, yeah, I'll go through the rebate hoops, but I won't count on it. I don't know this for sure, but I believe rebates are used by manufacturers in the hopes that a large percentage of the people won't follow through with the rebate. This way they increase sales, but don't have to actually lower the price.
I got a cell phone once with a $100 rebate. Bought it in March, but the rebate couldn't even be turned in until July. Further, there was only a two week window in which to turn it in. Then you had to wait the ubiquitous 8-10 weeks for the money. Yes, I turned it in and actually got my $100 check. I'll bet at least 70% of those that bought that phone missed the window.

I had zero issues. I bought a 442 PC and a M2.0 compact .40 and the day I picked them up from my FFL i took a pic of the receipt and bar code on the box and sent it in to them, got my cards in already earlier this week.

Less than 3 weeks from start to finish for me. Had my rebate in about 20 days if memory serves correct. Submitted on line, got acknowledgement, notice of acceptance, and card in the mail. Might have even been two - it was really fast!

Last year's rebate was managed by Milano Rebate Link If the current one is managed by them you can input Zip and last name Only.
Last time it took the full 10 weeks plus but there was such a heavy volume.

Bought my 9c early august. Got the rebate card in about 3 weeks tops. Got emails in between stating that they had recieved my online rebate, another when they processed it and rhe card would come in 10-14 days and got it within 7 days or so.
No complaints here. Well above my expectation!

JEEZ. Yet ANOTHER rebate paranoia thread......
When you purchase anything with a rebate, it has rules. Follow the rules and WAIT. THEN complain.......... Simple as that.

Maybe you missed reading the OP. He did wait. Then he did call the proper number. Now he has to wait again. Seems like a legit complaint to me.

PLEASE - not another rebate thread, LOL.
I think a lot of times these rebates are actually coming but when they show up they are tossed in the trash. Mine was a small generic looking thing and VERY easy to miss if I hadn't been informed ahead of time on what to look for.

No issues here..... I submitted my rebate online with attached pictures of receipt and serial numbers on Sunday and received my card on Saturday - less than a week. Crazy fast.

I followed the rules
I got the emails indicating my rebate was sent
I never got it, well past the the time frame it was supposed to arrive.
I placed two phones and had a difficult time trying to speak to an actual person.
I am still waiting for me rebate since July.
So this is another I have not got my rebate thread.

If you did the paperwork correctly, chill out. The rebate will come in time. Many of us have been through this process with past rebates...it’s slow, but sure.
