Default M&P Shield 45 2.0

Didn't even know the 2.0 Shield 45 existed til I saw it today in Bud's Gun shop Sevierville TN.
I had to take it home to keep my 3.6 9 company.

I don't know why the pic is upside down, or even how to make them more than a thumbnail.

I thought the original Shield in .45 was the first 2.0 just without the official marketing behind it. I don't think anything on the gun has changed other than adding the "2.0" stamping.

Somebody who knows more than me, chime in.

Well I thought maybe the Shield 45 2.0 would have the new position of the trigger stop like the Shield 9 2.0 but your pic clearly shows 2.0 and trigger stop is the same. Someone actually got their trigger stuck behind the trigger stop so my mind thought this was a poor design though I have not had any problems. I thought this new design was better:

Shield 9 2.0:

Took the Shield 45 out to the range today. Boy it shot like a dream. Right on target at 10 yds. The only thing I noticed was a widely pierced primer. Only found two rounds like it out of 25, but instead of a single point from the firing pin it had a line also. What could cause that? Ejector engaging too soon?

It's normal for that gun mine does it also fairly common I believe on striker fire guns.

Pretty sure all they did was add the M2.0 stamp to the slide, as their website doesn't show the 'original' m&p shield 45 anywhere. It was built on the new platform anyways so I think it's kind of like when they had 'Stainless' on their slides for the 1.0 lines and then released the slides that didn't say it on there anymore. Mine doesn't have the 2.0 on it but I don't mind still goes boom just the same.
