Default Bodyguard range report

Just bought a new Bodyguard. After having read about the lousy trigger it had I bought a Galloway trigger kit and installed it before I even fired it the first time.
Other than needing 3 hands to do the spring installation no big problem. The guy on the Galloway video had done the trigger installation many times and didn't have a clue that others were doing it the first time. Some of the pictures were not in view, he also didn't show the spring positions too clearly.
I put 100 rounds thru the BG, about 80 were Sig FMJ 100gr.
The remainder were Sig V-Crown 90 gr. JHP.
Not a single problem of any kind.
Part of the Galloway kit includes springs that ensure no light strikes due to some types of ammo.
I didn't do that part of the kit. Seemed like a lot of effort to solve a minimum type of problem.
Bottom line: Happy with the BG performance.

Might not seem so “minimum” if it happens in a serious social encounter. I have a BG with about 800 rounds through it and have seen that exact problem 4 or five times. And yes, you can just pull the trigger again. And that may work but it takes time you might not have. (I had 1 round - from a reliable mfg - that did not fire after several strikes.)

Just an opinion but if it were my BG and I had the parts, I’d be putting them in. Can’t hurt - could be the thing that saves your life...
