I personally have a Tactical Solution Cascade for my .22s
They're not overly pricey and are quiet enough for my needs.
Some people say why buy a .22 suppressor they're not that loud anyway. Well it's quieter then a good air rifle, has more punch for dealing with unwelcome critters on my property.

I came across this some time ago, seems like a nice product for a very reasonable price, but haven't tried one myself. Keep hoping we'll see some movement on removing suppressors from NFA list.

I chose the SilencerCo Spectre II, but it's not in my hands quite yet.

OP, good luck, but due to the wait time and taxes I don't see many cans go up for sale.

You would have better prospects for a used suppressor through a gun dealer. Because of the logistics / extended time of obtaining / transferring the NFA license, I doubt you'll find a private individual who would sell one to you directly.

I love my Dead Air Mask! I wouldn't ever sell it though...it's currently on my home defense weapon.

When I read the OP I didn't even consider they might be asking to buy one. I'm pretty sure your correct about a private individual selling one and I'm pretty sure it's not legal for one to do so. All mine have be purchased through class III dealers.

Buy a top line suppressor that can be owner serviced. The tax is the same regardless of suppressor cost. Transfer times seem to be about 8 months now.

Personally doubt we'll hear back from the original poster, but just in case they are legit -
A .22 rimfire supressor new isn't that expensive and since you have to pay the $200 pay to play tax and do the waiting game regardless if you buy new or used you might as well buy new. As nasty as .22 cans get no way I'd want a used one to begin with.
I've got a Liberty Regulator and a Dead Air Mask. Both are titanium / stainless steel so they compare well with each other.
Sound wise, they are both excellent.
.22 rimfire cans get filthy and must be cleaned regularly. Of the two, I like the Regulator's mono core better than the Dead Air's separate baffles - easier to take apart and clean for me.
If you are serious about buying one, whether you buy from them or not, I'd check out SilencerShop. They are about the easiest to buy from especially if you have one of their partner dealers with the Kiosk near you. They can hook you up with a trust as well, which I highly suggest buying one with a trust. Takes care of passing it down and like in my case my wife and I either one can be in possession of them at any time and be 100% in tune with the law.

I use a Silencerco Sparrow, works well enough, cleaning is a pain. The time to get a suppressor approved has caused me to lose interest in any additional cans. 13 months on the last one.

Wait times have seemed to have flattened out to around 6 months give or take right now.

Transfer Tracking - NFA Tracker

I did a form 1 to SBR an AK and check was cashed end of February, got the stamp at the first of July. Two responsible person trust.

Im not selling you mine... go to your LGS, spend your money, fill out the paperwork, get your fingerprints and photos, meet your sheriff, pack it all up, send it to WV with your $200 check, wait 6 months. Thats what I did.

Surefire Ryder in stainless. Can of the year in about 2014 when I accidentally bought it. Someone bought the Sparrow I originally wanted so I grabbed this. I use it on my full size M&P .22 and my M&P AR 15-22. Loads of fun.

Get the Sparrow. I love mine. Remember the .22 is dirty
and puts out a lot of vaporized lead along with the
Powder fouling . If you shoot a lot the fouling can
Build up like solder. So be sure and use a good type
of antiseize on it so you can tear it down. P S, use
the antiseize before you shoot it. Otherwise once it
solders itself you will have to send it back to the
builder to un seize it.

Could you expand a little in your maintenance advice please? I have a Sparrow on the way and would like to get started on it correctly. I am on month 6 so hope to have it by Thanksgiving! I have an Osprey and Sparrow in the safe at the LGS and they should be approved at the same time. Never had a suppressor so any info ahead of time would be appreciated.

Ihump1961,
As far as cans go, get one you can tear down and clean. When
you get it, unscrew the end caps and place indexing marks on
the baffle stack so you can place it back into the tube in the
same orientation it was when you took it apart.

What this does is to allow the vibration harmonics to stay the
same when you place it on the firearm you shoot it from. This
minimizes shifts in Point Of Aim and Point Of Impact.

The second thing you do is to put anti-seize on the threads of
the end caps and if you have a baffle stack that breaks down
into discrete pieces, anti seize those pieces.

Contact the maker of the can and use what they recommend.
Now that I know more, the copper based stuff seems to be
what's the best. You can use the stuff that the auto parts stores
peddle.

It's been debated among the can clan but I personally spray the
outer tube and baffle stack with a silicone spray prior to first use
and after cleaning.
This keeps the crud from "sticking" so well. (for want of a
better term). And don't use chemicals that react with the metals
in use with your can. Lastly, abrasives are a no-no.

Other than that, you clean it like a gun. depending on what you
bought and what you shoot thru it determines cleaning frequency.
But the big deal is to have it set up and maintained from the start
so you can tear it down and clean it.

I've been experimenting with Fluid Film NAS (in a paint can, not the aerosol) on the baffles. It's lanolin so I'm not worried about breathing it in when it vaporizes. I'm still using anti seize on the threads though.

Do a Google search for the contact information for Great Guns in Acme, Michigan. These folks have what I believe is a Manufacturer's License. I do know they sell suppressors, and they may be able to assist you.

Construction of the Hydra looks to be top notch. Whether any difference in .22 suppressor sound is worth paying 3-9 times the $99 of the Rebel is debatable......
