Default 9mm EZ?

Any chance S & W will come out with a 9mm version of the .380 EZ?
I know the recoil spring will need to be heavier, and maybe a couple other changes, but I love the dimensions and weight of the EZ, and one in 9mm would be even better even if it were a couple of ounces heavier.
I understand that S & W makes a variety of mid-sized and smaller versions in the M & P line, but to me the EZ is in a class by itself.

Anyone heard anything form S & W Rumor Comtrol?

That would be interesting. I do like the overall design. I would buy one.

The reason this can’t happen is because the .380 is a much lower pressure round than 9mm.

A .380 can even be a blowback design rather than locked breech because the recoil is significantly less. The EZ is a locked breech tho.

.380 = 21,500 psi
9mm = 38,500 psi (to handle +P)

The 9 must have much stronger recoil springs in addition to being a locked breech design.
