Default F8 or Trijicon nightsights on M&P Shield

Hi,
Looking for reviews from anyone who has tried the new XS F8 nightsights and how they compare with Trijicon HD’s..
Debating on which ones to install on Shield.

Thanks

I'm more of a HiViz guy but here's a good comparison video. The XS F8's look to have some interesting pros.

I have been doing some research as I want to set up my new 2.0 9c to be identical outfitted my shield.

As far as the OP. I believe the Trijicon HD are more traditional three dot set up. The XS is the two vertical dot set up. Hence rhe name F8 which some call it the Figure 8 whole others call it the i-dot.

Personally my choice to this point is Ameriglo I-dot. The other contendor in addition to the OP choices was the TFX-pro.

Only “problem” with my Ameriglo choice is that M&P cersions are on back order and Ameriglo stated that it will be up to 6-8 weeks before they put the M&P versions into the production cycle.

Also FYI, Trijicon purchased Ameriglo. And the transition was only recently completed. I suspect Ameriglo will now use only Trijicon tritium forecer more. I believe they may have used another source prior.

The XS-F8 APPEARS that the rear site to be about identical in height as Trijicon HD. Bith alpearing to be taller than something like the Ameriglo idot. Which I wonder, and has been a complaint of comfort while carrying the Trijicon HD. At least for some people.

I think we are all fortunate to have such good quality choices. And to some extent the site picture becomes personal preference. With each choice being a better choice for one person than another. Ultimately probably no wrong choice. Just a beat choice for each unique individual preferences.

I just installed TruGlo TFX sights on my Shield and really like them.
Hi Viz, plus the night sights. And most importantly for me, the large white outline front sight really stands out.

Is the 380 EZ shield slide width different than either the standard shield or the fullsize/compact slide?

If the EZ has same width as shield, than you don’t have to wait!
