Trigger get harder to pull at range

I love my M&P 40 and for the last 5 years it has given me zero problems but the other day at the range I noticed the trigger pull getting harder to pull after 50-60 rds. I striped it and gave it a quick cleaning and re-oiled it and again after 50-60 rds the trigger started to get harder to pull again.

Has anyone come across this and if so what did you do to fix it?

I have already looked at the sear and the striker block to see if it had a burr on its wall and i cant find anything out of place or unusual in or on the weapon.

I really don't want to modify the trigger if I can help it as it is my EDC weapon any thoughts or insight would be of great help.

Just a random tthought here, but perhaps it might be time to disassemble the striker assembly and clean it. It’s amazing how cruddy they can get if we get a little liberal with lube.

Striker, striker block, spring, all moving parts. Oil attracts and holds dirt......if that is the problem...

That would my reply . NO oil on the striker or surrounding area or the trigger group , If anything graphite powder . trigger groups can work well with products like KG-5 or ProShot Zero Friction or a clp or a Tranny Fuild !! But use a long needle nose bottle to place lube where its needed keep from over lubing parts .
