A couple weeks ago I made a post asking about these F8 sights and have since purchased and have installed on my M&P Shield M2...
Was able to get out and try them out at the range and I gotta say they are as good as advertised

I would say when compared to my stock sights on my M1 Shield, they are noticeably larger,,but not too much whereas they pose any issue with my holsters; I’ve tried in Raven Morrigan, Raven Phantom, Crossbreed Supertuck and Bravo Concealment..

For slow bullseye shooting at defensive range (15 yards and closer) I didn’t notice much difference..I think overall I wasn’t grouping as tight as I have in the past, and know I am capable of,,but it wasn’t bad and I have had no prior experience with the “8” style of sight systems..I think once I get more familiar with the system, even though the tolerances are bigger,,I think by using the sight angles I can keep my groups as tight as with the stock sights..

Once I started shooting double taps and rapid fire drills, I quickly found the advantage of using these sights
Super fast target acquisition and easy to align sight picture!!


My next test was to go into a dark lowlight setting and see how much I could see and how effective the Tritium front and rear dots would be..I gotta say I really like the ease of forming the “8” in lowlight. And the icing on the cake was the surprise I got once I charged the Photoluminescent Ring with my flashlight..WOW. Super bright!!!


The real bonus for me, as now being able to operate and manipulate the pistol “one-handed”..If for whatever reasons, one hand/arm is injured or hanging onto something or someone, I can easily rack the slide off my pocket or holster using the rear- sight ledge on this sight system..
To me, this is important in a defensive everyday carry gun,,after all a “Pistol” by definition means;
A small firearm designed to be held in one hand



So far very very happy with this purchase 👍👍
