Just picked up a new Shield 2.0 today and broke it down for an initial cleaning. When putting it back together my hands were oily and the slide slipped before i could lock it back and slammed home while the takedown lever was down and the trigger obviously wasnt pulled.
The Shield recoil spring is exceptionally strong and it slammed forward with alot of force and it looks like the only part that would have taken the brunt of the impact was the trigger sear (if i’m not correct on this let me know). Is there any way this could have damaged any parts in the trigger housing assembly? Thanks in advance for any insight.
