Finally got my 9mm Shield - again
I ordered a 9mm Shield from Palmetto State Armory at the end of last month - They had the gen 1 models for $249.
I used to own 2 Shields when they very first came out - later sold them, but missed having one. It makes a good pocket gun in cargo pants.
Got one again finally

Congrats on getting another Shield. I own three, two 9's and a .40. They are a great value when you consider price point, reliability, and Smith & Wesson customer service.

Nice! I need to stop thinking about it and just buy one of these myself.

I own all 3-9mm, 40 & 45. Have carried the 9mm for past several years; no issues, no complaints. :-)

I love my 1st Gen 9 Shield even though I recently got a Sig P365. The P365 is a bit smaller for rear jeans pocket carry where the Shield shows just a bit over the outer pocket. I wouldn't part with my Shield as it has performed flawlessly. I carry it mostly OWB and it disappears under any untucked shirt. Each gun has it's place in the rotation just like the 442 .38 snub that's in my right front pocket right now.

I went and shot this gun again today - I enjoyed shooting it. Like I said above - I previously owned two. But, it's been several years since I've had one. So, re-learning it.
Another interesting fact... My favorite holster is the Galco Matix holster - I have used one for years for my HK P2000 (my main carry gun). Well, it will ALSO fit an M&P 9mm Shield. Yes, the Shield is thinner, but the trigger guard locks in just fine. I have carried the gun around this way. Works great....

I just bought a gen 1 Shield for cheap. Shot about 50 rounds today. I got my wife the new EZ 9mm a couple of weeks ago, so we shot those and the Victory today. I wore my thumb out this morning trying to loosen up the safety-super stiff. I like to use the safety especially teaching her and being new to carrying. Nice to have guns that don't stovepipe and just work. I managed to shoot reasonably well and groups are tighter than with my Taurus. The trigger breaks more where I would expect than the Pt111 where you squeeze all the way back, especially on the first shot. I'll put some more rounds through it but I feel pretty confident in this gun (and the EZ). I wish the EZ came in the 3.1 or 3.2 inch barrel. That little bit makes a difference for concealment..

Picked up my third one about a month ago, didn't need it but the deal was to good.
Academy Sports had a deal $249 with a $50 mail in rebate and a $50 gift card. So after it was all said and done with tax it was $166.00

Yeesh, I hate rebates and stuff, but with that deal combo, I don't know if I could have resisted, may of had to get 2 or 3 more.

Congrats Fellas!!
It does seem that the M&P Shield is hard to beat as far as quality & bang for you're buck..
I picked a 2.0 9mm Shield up for $200 that included two $30 boxes of SD ammo + Hume IWB holster, Cardboard box, manual, chamber flag & cable lock.. Best Deal in a while..
Did I forget to tell ya that this skinny little girl carries like dream compared to my fat pig Glock 26 Gen 4..

I had 3.....380EZ, 9 and 45 and liked them. But they all got sold and I went old school and carry a CS9 and 4513TSW. I just like the hammers, safeties, and weight compared to the Shield. My 642 goes into my pocket.
