Default .380 ez Trigger

A couple of things regarding my .380EZ: first thing is I love the pistol and on the two range outings it performed faultlessly through 200 rounds and I found it to be accurate (within the limits of my shooting).
First thing is the trigger: I ordered and received a Scutum Short Stroke Trigger from Galloway Precision but am unsure as to whether or not to use it. Any comments will be appreciated. (By the by, the reason I like the trigger is my large hands. The flat trigger will place my trigger finger a bit more favorably foreword.)
Second thing is I tried for two hours this morning to call S&W customer service. I wanted to inquire about purchasing a trigger for the Performance Center .380EZ. As I said, two hours on hold and no one picked up. I question S&W customer service.
Does anyone know if S&W might sell me their trigger?

I hate to tell you this but when I called Smith to see if they would sell me the night sights from the performance center EZ. They won't Because they buy the part from their vendor. It's not theirs to sell do to licensing agreements. I went with TruGlo night sights for my EZ. You just have to find an aftermarket trigger you like and check with a gunsmith to see if your choice fits. In my case I brought my EZ in February, 2018 when they first came out and it was over a year and a half before TruGlo came out with my night sights.

My EZ 380 is the lightest pull of my M&P pistols at 5lbs 6oz.

I always question wether to mess with a factory trigger in a self defense weapon because of legal concerns. I see both sides on the internet, just concerns me that it would be used against me in court in the event I would have to actually defend myself. I would like all of mine to have better user friendly triggers. I just dont know?

As I was told way back when I first fired a center fire rifle and thought it kicked a bit (I was 13 at the time and it was a 94 30-30) They said your firing when hunting you will not notice or feel the recoil, same for the noise.

Same deal for a protection gun you will notice a stiff, hard or gritty trigger when practicing. You need the gun for real and all will be fine.

I say that because I have a . Smith .380 and the trigger is quite stiff but if I need it who cares! Gun is accurate enough for a gun of its class! Heck if you use it you will probably be firing at sword fighting range anyway!

Full disclosure, for the most part I carry a Ruger LCR.38 instead of the Smith now. Trigger pull on both guns is "interesting"
