Default New MP9 Performance 2.0 w\5" ported barrel, slide cuts, 4.5lb trigger, and adj ovrtrv

Guys, with a street price of $615 dollars, I can't think of any other gun I would rather own than this one soon to be coming out. From the reviews I have seen, this shoots like a .22LR recoil wise and with the overtravel that is adjustable, getting on target fast is probably going to be amazing.

I was looking at the Sig P226 SAO but at $1250 plus tax it is just crazy to even consider spending that much on a gun that won't shoot as flat. I know you can't compare the two but I feel the MP will be a much better shooter

How is the recoil so low??? I'm very interested in this gun if the recoil is actually that low.

Even the 2.0 Compact shoots very flat. The bore axis is very low and the grip is just amazing.

I’ll be picking up my 5” non ported as soon as my dealer gives me the call.

Ported barrel. Gases escaping vertically cause some downward force. Note that the gas escape occurs AFTER the round leaves the barrel. Simple physics. At least that's what I've read on the interwebs.

Been researching the Performance Center Slide Kits for our FS 9's vs milling slides as we move to RDS. I'm leaning towards the kits for the porting, suppressor height sights, new barrel, and multiple RDS mounting options. Not bad for ~$350.

The low bore to hand ratio of the M&P helps, and the ports help a bit more.
Not so much a reduction in recoil, as a reduction in muzzle rise.
You are back on target faster.
From shooting ported and non ported M&P's, I've found that the .40 caliber is helped most by the ports, the 9mm and .45 non as much, but the benefit is still there.
I am getting a ported 9mm barrel for my .40 PC Shield, so I'll have both .40 and 9mm barrels for it.
