Default Performance Center*® M&P*®9 M2.0*„¢ Ported 5" Barrel & Slide C.O.R.E.

Performance Center(R) M&P(R)9 M2.0™ Ported 5" Barrel & Slide C.O.R.E.™ | Smith & Wesson

Guys what do you all think about this new model that is soon to be released? Sounds like a redo from the past but it has a ported barrel which I like, a tuned 4.5lb trigger pull, adjustable overtravel stop which is huge, and slide cuts. The street price I believe will be around $600 which will be pretty awesome.

I am confident it will shoot better than my P320 X5 Legion which has a trigger that is kind of meh.

You have a hard on for this remake M&P !! I feel the same as 2 days ago when I read your other post on the same pistol .

Knowing what it took to turn my wifes CORE in to great pistol took away to much extra money and lots of apex upgrades I would be extra concerned and wait for a number of personal reviews get out . So how good will the stock 2.0 core be ?? Only time and rounds down range will tell but not by use and it sure won't be better than what we have now ..

Internet video guru's and pre production handguns rarely give you real honest reviews of what you buy . You mentioned the new core should have a 4.5lb trigger , that's not a big deal . My p320XC has a 4lb 2oz stock trigger along with many other X series straight trigger pistols . IF yours is not as lite you may want to contact sig about about it ! Let them improve it on there dime .

Not all Sig P320's are crisp. I have several of them, some are very crisp, others have lots of creep. It all depends on tolorence. The MP 2.0 trigger I find is much crisper than P320s. I find the P320 most feel too double action like where the MP even with the hinged trigger breaks more cleanly.

But you are right, the old first generation CORE was said to be not very accurate because of frame flex but MP fixed that with a steel frame insert.

Sorry but even the Q5 or one X5 gray guns competition upgraded or our fully apex fss trigger upgraded core to me do not have what I can say have a crisp trigger . LIte , far better than stock but its still a striker fired pistol . I well tunes 1911 or tuned sa revolver or even my old colt huntsman is crisp . Just different handguns for different needs .

I never looked at the frame flex on the nose of a m&p as a problem as the rail are father back and barrel / slide lock up controls accuracy any how .

The apex barrel I put in my wifes m&p ps core 9mm was a gun smith fit item but only needed less than 3ths pff the hood to drop in with a sung fit and run . No lug work needed . That's shows a lack of over all control along with lite recoil springs . Changing it to 20lbs springs even helped and ran fine with lite loads .

Anyhow back to your future CORE . Good luck with it just don't expect to much as it is still a production pistol and some of the videos of the 2.0 core are not all that ether . Maybe check out Sweeping The Trigger might help shoot both quick and shooting tight groups . Does not matter much if a sweet 1911 or a stock glock . Good luck
