9mm ez sights off
Does anyone have a 9mm ez with sights off. After buying a 9mm ez I took it to my outside range I built at my home and kept missing the target. So I put it in a vice and again missed the target. Next I purchased a Crimson Trace green laser, again put it in a vice I wound up putting green dot on #7 before I hit center.
Does S&W fix sights that are off when you purchase a new handgun?

Welcome! The usual collective wisdom would be to check that both the front and rear sights are at least roughly centered on the slide, trying at least two different types of ammunition, and letting a friend try it to see if the same results are obtained.
If so, a competent gunsmith can drift the rear sight slightly rightward. If the laser was zeroed to the off-center sights that might explain the persistent leftward grouping. Please let us know what happens.

Yes Had others try
Yes had my my son try and brother all were off. Laser sight was not changed as according to Chrimson Trace they center them before shipping. My concern is even after putting it in vice it was still off from all 3 of us. I have thought of both buying tru glow sights and taking to a gun smith but problem is the fact its new out of box and I think S&W should be the one footing that cost. Plus aftermarket anything for 9mm EZ does not really exist yet. Cannot even buy extra clips for it from aftermarket or from S&W. Maybe I am too old in my ways but I could just reset trace laser also but again I think sights should be right from factory. I still have my Model 659 I bought in 80's sights are great and my Grandfathers Model 66 are great even after 25+ years.

With the Lifetime Warranty you could send the gun back to the factory to have the sight(s) moved, but on a practical level if you took the gun to a gunsmith working at or nearby to a range you could have the zero adjusted in a few minutes.
In an ideal world the sights would be on from the factory but it's a relatively easy fix. Good luck in your decision.

If the sights are centered on the slide I would suggest field stripping the gun and checking the frame for any obvious damage (like a loose rail). Clean and reassemble the gun and try again. If it still shoots the same, call S&W!
NO insult intended!!! NEVER fire a gun from a vice! JMO P.S. I had a backyard 25 yard range once and I MISS it. Good Luck!
Be SAFE and Shoot Often!

Is it off vertically or horizontally? How did you zero the laser?

S&W EZ 9mm pistol
DO NOT attempt to drift the rear sight. Read the instruction manual and learn how to adjust rear sight for windage only. The sight can be loosened and moved by inserting a 3/32" hex key in the screw that holds the sight. The screw can only be accessed from the underside of the slide. The screw on my gun was very tight initially.
READ the manual first before trying to fix your gun!!!
