M&P Shield Manufature Date
I just purchase a S&W M&P Shield 9mm Se# JDD4123. It's not the 2.0, it's the original. Would someone tell me how to get a manufacture date. I wanted to know if it was a newly manufactured pistol or new pistol old stock. Thanks in advance.

I checked the box and saw no date, unless it is some type code. This number is right above the model number on the box 061: 19

There should be a 6-Digit MMDDYY code on the label. It used to be just above the word 'MODEL'.
Do a forum search for 'Shield Manufacture', or 'Shield Date Code' and you should come up with some threads with Pics.

A label from an older Shield (right under the name of the gun) has a six-digit number, which I presume is the date on which the gun was either boxed or shipped.

Use a magnifying glass to look again and I bet you will find the ":" is a number that has been partially rubbed off.

When I look real close at the 061:19, I think the character that looks like a colon, is a 3. So i believe it was manufactures 061319

I'll assume you wrote this incorrectly with a number instead of the colon (space). If so, it says Jun, (some day), 2019.
Otherwise, post a pic of your label. Blur out the serial if you wish.
Edit: You corrected the date just as I posted. Yes, Jun 13, 2019.
