Default M&P 9c and new subcompact 9 mag compatability

With the advent of the new Subcompact 9 and moving to Florida I have a question regarding magazines...I have the 1.0 9c and thinking about buying a 2.0 subcompact. Living in Florida as opposed to NY. I can now carry a real gun with capacity. However I have a dozen 10 round mags for my 1.0 9c. Will they fit the 2.0 sub for range practice? and will the 12 round for the 2.0 fit my 1.0 9c? thanks for any and all help.

The 2.0 mags are longer than the 1.0, and will work, but you can’t use the 1.0 mags in the newer postol.

The 1.0 Compact and the 2.0 Subcompact take the same magazines. The 2.0 Subcompact is essentially the 1.0 C upgraded to 2.0 feature set (trigger, grip texture, frame, slide lock, etc.). But the mags swap.

Check out this Gun Talk Media vid. Fast forward to about 7:30 for the comments specifically about the SC.

Adding another mag to the supply system really wouldn't make much sense unless there was something wrong with the old ones.

If you use the pinkie extensions already, I suggest you try a 15 rounder with an xgrip spacer. It only adds about 5/8" at the back of the butt and maybe a 1/4" at the front.
