New to me 9mm Compact
I picked up a lightly used 2.0 9mm Compact today. The kid working at the shop(he really looked too young to be out without a parent) told me the owner bought it new there, only fired one mag, decided he wanted something smaller and traded it back in. It still had everything new in the box and looked spotless. I've wanted this for awhile but finding one as nice as this at a used price was hard to pass up.
It's a sweet gun. It may be awhile before I can get to a range. I have the last week of this month off. If not before, I'll get out then.

I have one and it is a sweet gun. It’s funny how the Glock 19 that it competes with used to be considered so small. Now the Shield, Sig 365, Hellcat, and Walther PPS just seem to be so much more carry able. I don’t even own a holster for mine. Range gun is what it is for now. I can relate to why the first owner turned it in. Certainly not big but there are smaller.

I got one from Smokey Mountain gun works with night sights and three mags for $329 shipped, no tax. So under $350 out the door after transfer.
After shooting a few hundred rounds through it, I'm impressed. The 2.0 trigger is just fine for me on a carry gun, and it shoots like a full sized.
It isn't going to replace my HK VP9SK, but I'm glad I got it.

I think it's just the right size for a carry gun. Mine is the 4" version. It replaced my Shield because it feels much better in my hand and I shoot it better. The somewhat bigger size hasn't been an issue.

I know. It's not huge. I used to carry a Glock 19 without really noticing it, but I guess I've been spoiled by smaller guns that I can slip into a pocket. There is surely a difference in the way it feels in my wasitband comapred to my Shield.

I love the entire S&W line and carried the 9c for a long time. A bit thick. Went to the Shield and like it but it is just a bit to thin to really shoot comfortably...Thinking of going back to the 2.0 subcompact. That extra thickness is just a bit concerning....the waist isn't what it used to be....

Panther I think I know you from another forum. I have the same gun as you and I really like it. So far it has been very reliable, is accurate and has a nice trigger. I'll be anxious for you to get to the range so we can get a range report. I think you're going to like it a lot.

Good score on the 9C. At least the owner didn't try to pass it off as a new gun and get full price for it, some would do that.
