Default MP 22 Compact/Dawson Sights

I replaced the sights on my MP 22 Compact with Dawson Precision Sights. I ordered the optic fiber front and plain fixed rear. I used my calipers to install them to be on center of the slide and went to the range. It was shooting to the left a bit so I tapped the rear sight a little and right on it was. Great sight picture for old eyes like mine and much better quality than the OEM that come on the gun. I tightened down the screws and added a little Loctite. These sights are well worthwhile what they ask for them.

I put a Dawson Fiber Optic front sight on mine too. Left the OEM rear. Really like the color. Only thing was my range seems dark enough that I don't get that "bright" sight when there is more light around....

I have been noticing that on the two indoor ranges I can get to.
The firing line is dark while the target trolleys are well lit.
My student commented on it yesterday; "My sights that are so bright outside don't show up well here."

If there were a plug on the bench, I might bring my own lamp.

I recently installed the same sight combo on my Glock 48 and changed the original red FO over to green which improved visibility in lower light levels. It was a significant improvement in the sight picture over the standard Glock sights. I'm debating doing the same with my Shield. It will either be that or night sights since the Shield is my EDC.

My sight package came with 2 extra light pipes 1 green and 1 red. Both pipes are long enough to get 3 to 4 pipes for the front sight.
