Default What's Wrong With This Picture?

trigger bar.JPG

Did you spot it?

<Spoiler Alert!!>
It's an M&P 1.0 trigger bar in a 2.0 marked bag (notice the loop).

I did a 2.0 trigger upgrade on my FS 1.0 a while back. Decided to do it on my 1.0 9C. I have the sear housing ready to go but the trigger bars were OOS. When they finally came in I jumped quickly. Sadly, someone at S&W goofed.

So I thought I could just cut the loop off one of my old trigger bars. Nope, too short to release the sear.

I bought the parts from Midwest Gun Works. They have been great! (and I get 10% off as a vet). They confirmed that S&W shipped the wrong parts in the right bags. When will the right ones come in is anybody's guess. Guess I'll cal S&W CS and see what gives.

I should have added a "spoiler alert".

Saudade

Been experimenting for a way to improve audible and a stronger felt reset. Made a .350 x .350 x .040 shim and placed in between the trigger bar and the right side slide release. Takes out all the lateral movement and improve felt and audible reset. Worked very well on my CORE (had very sloppy lateral movement) that was upgraded to M2.0 innards. YMMV My M2.0 no need for shim, no lateral movement.

Cheers

Philip

Hey, Saudade, I can beat that. Below is a photo of the Shield 9 "Recoil Spring Assembly" that was shipped to me back in 2015. In reality, it is a "QD Ambi Sling Mount". If you look carefully, you can see the order number is wrong, and somewhere a Smith & Wesson customer who ordered the QD Ambi Sling Mount received a Shield 9 Recoil Spring Assembly instead. I wonder what Amy, the parts picker, was smoking that day. If you look not-so-carefully, you can see that the Smith & Wesson logo is printed backwards and upside down on the packing list. (How did they do that??) I think I'll contact the S&W Collector's Association to see if that packing list has any collector's value. It may be one of a kind!

Thanks, I saw that earlier. However, since the ones shipped to MGW were packaged incorrectly, I don't feel confident that Numrich has the correct one.

I'm in no hurry. Glad we got our parts earlier when we did. Should bought both back then.
