Default Shield 2.0 9mm advanage over 1.0

Have owned a 1.0 for few years, low round count, added Hogue slip on rubber grip which has made vast improvement of accuracy. A common theme among Shield owners, its light weight and thinness carry IWB or OWB. So finally after reading Forum ran some pills down range and after a few hundred accuracy and even the 1.0 trigger smoothed out.

I have shot the Sig 365, hated the grip, too small, snappy muzzle rise and too much movement in my hand while accuracy appeared to be an improvement was not the next level above the Shield.

While @ LGS, looked @ the 2.0 Shield 9mm, liked the trigger, less travel, lighter pull but is the Chassis longer than the 1.0 like the other 2.0 line up. I would assume the frame tabs that slide along the slide rails are larger/longer than the 1.0's ?

I've own 1.0's M & P's, no issues on quality control but have noticed more of those issues with the 2.0 line ? What gives, how is Smith & Wesson customer service ?

I'm not sure about the difference in rail lengths, but I went from an early 1.0 (right when the Shield first came out) to a 2.0 Performance Center 4", and it is a HUGE difference. I love the 2.0 ...

Personally if I had a 1.0 that has been reliable I wouldn't change. I carry mine, I don't sweat trigger reset or if one trigger's pull is a half a pound lighter than the other. If I can carry a pistol that is completely reliable like the Shield 1.0 I have is best to stick with it.
