Heads up on Midway USA closeout on M&P aftermarket barrels
Got this in an email from Midway today.
Quite a few M&P offerings if you are looking for an aftermarket threaded barrel on the cheap.
AAC and Storm Lake Pistol Barrels - MidwayUSA

I have a 40C 1.0. I already have a factory 9mm barrel I use at the range. I would never think to carry with that barrel because I'm under the impression that although it's close... it's not an exact fit.
Would I benefit from getting the compact 40-9 conversion barrel? Would that barrel be more trusted... to the point I could carry 9mm with the same confidence as if it were a 9C pistol?

I have a full size 40. With it I have a factory 9mm barrel and magaines, and i also bought a storm lake 40sw to 9mm conversion barrel. I think the conversion barrel fits a bit better and shoots nicely. But I have never had a problem with the factory 9mm barrel. At these prices might be a good idea to buy and try.

Thanks for the info. Picked up a 5" barrel, guide rod and spring for just under $100. Excellent deal!

It's a shame that none of them are .40 S&W to .357 SIG conversion barrels.

I just got a 40 to 9 conversion for my 40C 1.0. It was $80, which seemed much less than what I last saw it as.

Thanks Dusty for the heads up. Ordered today. Midway shipping has always been a bit slow but they say I'll have it by Monday. We'll see.

I have the same issue as you....I need tall sights! Have you considered what style / brand you want?

I’ve tried suppressor height sights on others (a couple of Sigs, H&k and Glock) On my H&k usp 45 they are tall enough and work well. The others they really didn’t help . Everything else I’ve just learned to use the stock sights and ignore the can. Just like artillery, don’t necessarily have to see the target you just have to know where it’s at.
