Did Smith & Wesson every fix the BG380 light strike issues?
I just bought a BG380 w/Crimson Trace, do any of you guys know if the light strike issue has been corrected on guns made in 2019 and 2020?

My BG.380 bought in 2015 never had an issue with lite strikes.

I can only tell you that the one I returned for repairs came back to me no better than it was before it left, which is to say, completely useless.

if you are concerned about light strikes I would use ammo with Federal primers. i use Federal exclusively with no problems. for carry, Hydra-Shok. Federal has developed a new .380 cartridge that sounds like a game changer....Hydra-Shok Deep. looking forward to finding some.

I thought they had when I bought my M&P 380 a couple years ago. Unfortunately I still had the issue, but Smith & Wesson corrected it. You can find a great deal more by using the search:

Mine was a 2019 run. Have had no problems with light strikes.
Shoot Federal FMJ at the range & Precision One 90gr with XTP bullet
for carry. P.S. mine is the M&P model.

I found mine likes Hornady American Gunner. Nearly 500 rounds with no issues.

M29since14. Was it the original model or the M&P version?
What was wrong with it that S&W customer service didn’t fix?
I ask so that if it was the M&P version, I can keep an eye out
for that issue with mine and I’m sure others would like to know.
