I like the Olight PL-2 Mini Valkyrie (very small) and the PL-Pro (medium size) lights. They have a sliding rail mount and side lever, so are easy to take off and put on quickly. Many other suggestions will follow.

Olight makes very good weapon lights. Well build and rugged. Easy to recharge, too, due to the magnetic connector. The lights hold a charge for many months. The Valkyrie Mini is about the only decent light that will fit a short barreled pistol, like the M&P 9c 3.5".

X300U is about all I use anymore. I have a 1k lumen model and a Vampire that get swapped around depending on what's going on.

Olight is great. I have the Valkyrie PL 2 on my M&P 2.0 9mm 4.25". It has 1200 lumens and a very distinct focused light pattern, with a wide peripheral view. Works on my Sig P320 and Glock 19. QT is a real plus. Have had it on my AR too.

TLR-1 will fit. They now seem to come with several inserts to adapt to different rails and with the G***k insert in place. You'll want the Picatinny Rail insert.

I have a TLR-3 on my M&P9 2.0. Works very well, with plenty of illumination.

I put a TLR-1S on my M&P 40 1.0 and it's working out great. It should fit your 2.0 also. I bought it because it was 300 lumens. Easy on easy off and it was on sale.
