Default Cerakote finish

is the cerakote finish from s&w over the normal finish or instead of. i put a shield with satin aluminum cerakote slide on layaway today and was just wondering about the process

CB3 its not that important i was just wondering if any one knew. i am buying it anyway

I believe that the Cerakote finish is applied instead of the usual Armornite FNC surface treatment and Cerakote isn't a durable as the Armornite treatment.

However, I agree with others that it's worth asking S&W and getting the information right from the source, and would be interested in hearing their response.
