Default S&W Bodyguard 380 help

I know this probably isn't the proper spot for this but I bought a S&W Bodyguard 380 and the only thing missing from it is the receiver or chassis whatever you want to call it, the main part with the serial number. I called S&W and they said they will not sell it by itself, does anyone know where I can possibly buy one?

The frame has the serial number and that is considered the firearm. Somebody sold you a barrel and slide. You'd have to buy a whole new gun to get another frame.

You bought a parts kit. I don’t know of anyplace that will sell just the serialized frame. This part will require an FFL transfer. You can try the classified section here or try Gunbroker.

I can’t imagine why they would sell just a frame. If they have a frame they make a finished gun. Can’t even imagine why somebody would have a frame to sell, unless they had some sort of kaboom with reloads and the frame survived with no damage. The gun is cheap enough to just buy a whole new gun.
