45 compact ?
I love my 40 compact and my shield in 9mm. I bought a springfield 45 XD mod 2 compact because I shot a friends and could not believe the accuracy of the gun, even made me look like I knew how to shoot. I just can not run the springfield the mag release is stiff and not positioned right for my hands I guess. The 40 compact could not be any better I get pretty fast reloads with it.
For those that have one hows the accuracy?
Thanks

Love my compact, too. The .45 shield is nice also.

I have both a Compact 9mm and a Compact .45, both with 4" barrels.
I can't explain why, but although I have way more practice with the 9, I consistently shoot the .45 better. At least the first few mags. After a while the increased recoil becomes a factor, and the 9 is definitely less tiring.
I've been keeping stats on both pistols at 5, 7, 10 and 25 yds with both 2 handed grip and strong hand only grip. The .45 is more accurate in every category for me. It's not a huge difference but it is a measurable difference.

M&P 45C
I have a M&P 45C that I have installed Warren Tactical Night Sights, and S&W factory smoothed out the trigger to a nice 5.5#s. The gun is an outstanding shooter, and I recently replaced the factory recoil spring and guide rod with S&W original parts. The only problem is I really don't need the 45C anymore because my EDC is a 4" compact 1911, and my alternative is a full size heavily modified Colt Series 70. The only pocket gun I carry is a 340PD. If there is any interest let me know, thanks. I am open to a trade if the right thing comes up. By the way, the 45C is as accurate as my 1911s, and they are really accurate.

Does anyone conceal carry the 45C and how does the weight compare to others?

I love my 45c, but don’t carry it often. If I do, it is OWB in a Desantis speed scabbard. It’s a little heavy but works. I’m wanting a 45 shield for IWB, like this 9 I’m carrying now.

I have both a 45C and a 9C and normally carry the 9mm, but don't think it would be a problem if I wanted to carry the 45 instead. They are very nearly the same size and fit the same holster, the 45 has about 3/8" longer grip and is a bit wider but not much.
The 45 weighs 36 ounces loaded with 10 rounds of FMJ while the 9 weighs 33 1/4 ounces loaded with 15 rounds of FMJ. I don't consider that weight difference significant, but some people might.
IMO they are both good carry guns with each having it's pros and cons. I'd feel adequately armed with either.
