Default Help with Front Site on M&P Pro

I lost the front high viz light tube on my S&W M&P Pro sight. What pipe do I need to order and where to get it?

Thanks! Little things can be such a PITA.

I broke the tube in the Hi-Viz front that came on my .40 PC Shield last year.
I called S&W, hoping they'd just send me a new one no charge, like they've always done with springs, followers and such.
The lady I talked to said they only sell the complete front Hi-Viz sight, cost was $55.

I said no thanks, and tried Hi-Viz. The person I talked to there said they only sell the whole sight, not just the tube, price with them was $45.

I ended up buying a set ( front and back) of Tru-Glo sights from Amazon for $76, that are both fiber optic AND Tritium, much better all around.

You should be able to buy the tubes by themselves, the Hi Viz front sight I got for my Ruger Mk IV Lite came with several colored tubes and a little tool to change them.
Maybe I just talked to the wrong person at both companies, or else that particular sight can't have the tubes replaced easily.

You need 1.5mm diameter (.062 in) for M&P Pro.
I bought 3 foot sections of it.
Fluorescent Fiber, Archery & Gun Sight Replacement
Brownells sells 6" section.
Lot of places sell it in various lengths

I had the same luck on my M & P Pro 1.0 they sent me the complete front sight instead of the fiber rod. The sight is a Novak so will re-use it on another M & P.

If your Pro is a 1.0 the fiber rod is .59 and we buying from fiberopticsproducts.com we buyin red and green as they also work on Dan Wesson's 1911's.

Fiber Optic Lighting

Seems the links off this site don't "link" so I re-check my favorites, might google it Fiber Optic Products Inc Helper, UT.

Fiber Optic Lighting

M & P PRO 1.0 is .59 diameter, I bought 1' lengths in red & green.

The trick is trim rods extra long, either lighter or match, light 1 end after it balls up blow it out, use this end for the rear of sight base, after sliding it through light the muzzle end, your done.
