Default Apex Trigger or Not For Performance Center 2.0 Shield?

IMHO, the M&P Shield 2.0 Performance Center pistol in 9mm IS second to none! After purchasing it, I instinctively had my friend Jason at a local shop order an Apex trigger for it. After another day of unparalleled accuracy at the range, I began thinking, why should I attempt to improve perfection?? I mean honestly!! Why try? I'm wondering if anyone else has asked the same either before or after purchasing the be Apex? And if you did change out the trigger, was it worth it? Thanks in advance for the feedback! Long live the Shield supremacy!!

I don't have the performance but I have a Shield 2.0. I like the trigger fine and have no plans to put a apex trigger in it. I had the regular Shield and did put the apex in it as it was not as good stock as the one in ,my 2.0. I have not shot my 2.0 a lot yet so it may even get a little better after a few hundred rounds and of course I will get better using it.

Why would you change out the trigger on a Performance Center model when the trigger is one of the things they rework on the gun? Seems kind of crazy to me.

I put Apex triggers on most of my 1st gen M&Ps, but the trigger on my Performance Center M2.0 Shield 45 is excellent. No plans to change it.

I can only speak for myself, but don't like the hinged trigger shoe the full-size M&Ps come with. If all M&Ps came with the Performance Center internals, and the Shield's thicker variant of the trigger shoe, I wouldn't change anything out.

I have a PC Shield that the only thing I did to it was put grip tape on, since it's the 1.0. Trigger on that one is better than in my 5".

Although mine improved greatly the more they were shot., the 1st generation Shields had many complaints about the triggers. S&W heard the complaints and the 2nd generation were better. The Performance Center improved further the guns coming out if their area. Perhaps just polishing, but my PC 45 Shield seems to be greatly improved.
No need for the Apex.

I understand your point. At this time I'm going to keep the stock trigger. I was curious to know what others thought since the Apex trigger is so popular, and some I know do prefer it to the stock trigger on even on the Performance Center pistols.

Don't get caught up in what others "think" when it come to a gun. Less mods equals less potential problems. Go shoot your gun and enjoy what the Manufacturer has done to make it a Performance Center top of the line model, you definitely paid for that service.

My PC .40 had an excellent trigger pull. I would never consider changing it out, unless you just don't like the hinged trigger.
For some reason I don't like the hinged trigger on my full size M&Ps but the hinged trigger on the Shields don't bug me.

And the .45 Shield have always had nice trigger pulls. So no comparing the PC or the .45 to other Shields, especially the 1.0 versions.
I'd say the trigger pull on my older .45 Shield is even better than the PC .40 I had, and much better than the 3 fullsize 2.0s I've had.
