Default First Shield

Picked up a Shield 9mm, two mags, box, 'Elite Survival' iwb holster for two bills. Seemed like a decent enough buy. And a quick call to the mothership noted made in 2015.

This is my first shield, anything to be aware of on the first gen 1.0 guns?

The mag release can rust and seize in the grip. A bit of button clean and lube takes care of it.

If it twists in your hand while shooting, grip tape or sleeve helps.

Edit: Forgot the Maglula Uplula loader.

Loading mags is more than a little fun until they loosen up. With luck the previous owner took care of that for you.

Congrats on your Shield. I like mine so much that I own three of them.

Added a hogue wrap, Ameriglo I-dots, and a cheap GF holster, I gotta say, I'm impressed. I normally carry my bg380 but this has easily surpassed that as my daily
