Default Light for a M&P9C?

I have a Gen 1 M&P 9C that I like real well as does my wife.
She'd like to use it for a night stand gun but the old S&W
light that came with it when I bought it years ago is anemic
to say the least. Anyone got a suggestion for a good gun
light that will fit this gun? The TLR1 I have is to long and
won't lock into the rail.
Thanks,
Dano

Their Baldr model is intriguing, seems that could be a good option for something used for home defense with the laser included.

I just bought an Olight PL Mini 2. It's small enough to not stick out past the barrel. And it has a quick disconnect which is great. They were on sale for $70, but that might be over. Regular price is $90ish
