Mount Plate for Red Dot
Greetings!
I searched through the manual, but was unable to locate applicable information.
For the new Performance Center M&P, with the CORE plates, which plate is used to mount the included Crimson Trace red dot?
Thanks for your assistance, and happy trails.

Google m&p core mounting plates. There is a chart showing which plate for different red dots.

It might, thanks, but the red dot came with the gun and a set of plates as part of a Performance Center package. Model number is SW12740.
So, I think that the needed plate is included, but there is no info in the box indicating which of the included plates is used with the Crimson Trace.
I could probably figure it out, but figured I would check with some folks who may have already mounted it first.

Look at the manual for the sight. It will tell you what footprint.

Unfortunately, none of the manuals (Smith and Wesson owner’s, Crimson Trace pamphlet in the box, nor any addendum to the “package” with the gun and red dot.) indicated the plate.
Tried Google and found a older chart, but nothing with the current sight.
Message sent to S&W customer service. Will see how that goes.

Do you have a red dot or a laser?
Look at the bottom of your optic and you will see some small holes in the corners. Find the plate with small pegs sticking up that match the holes in the optic. Use that one.
It uses the same plate as the Vortex red dots.

I meant go to the Crimson Trace website and match up your sight, download the manual.
Or as Doug suggests just match up the plate to the bottom of the sight.

The C.O.R.E user manual says that for the Crimson Trace you must use the #2 plate and type D screw's.
