Apex Flat/Face Trigger Kit for M&P 2.0
Trigger kit rolled in so I installed the Apex trigger in my S&W M&P 2.0 Compact yesterday. Installation went smoothly, as expected, with the great install video instruction Apex has. The improvement in the trigger is remarkable. Everything Apex claims the trigger kit will do is spot on. Trigger is now 3 1/2#, clean and crisp w/ minimum travel. I have a version with manual safety and I deepened the notch's on the safety so it is very positive. It's a carry gun and the manual safety w/ the improved trigger works out perfect for me. It's also optic ready with suppressor height sights and I'm running a Vortex Venom red dot on it. I'll burn some more rounds with it and then plan to pick up a Apex Grade semi-fit barrel and add that. Good shooting guys, ENJOY!

Congrats !
I've been using APEX Trigger kit by myself in M&P9 4.25".
No better defense handgun for me since that change.

I usually read this forum, I don’t post much here. I had ATEI install an Apex Gunsmith Fit barrel in my 4.25” as well as the Apex 100-167 forward trigger. Words can’t describe the accuracy of this barrel. Barrel lock-up is tremendous & just passed 4,300 rounds. I was a die hard HK fan, particularly the P7 for 25 years, but I must say this M2.0 with Apex Gunsmith Fit barrel is by far at least for me, the best platform going. I’m not new to firearms at all, have owned many Smith’s over the years. I will say S&W did their homework on the 2.0. I now have 2 9mm 4.25” & 4.25” Pro 40 caliber.

Glad to hear your comments on the Apex gunsmith fit barrel. The Apex barrel is on my list to compliment the forward set trigger, but I am undecided between the semi-fit barrel and doing it myself or have the gunsmith fit barrel fitted to the slide. Accuracy improvement, as near as I can determine, is improved markedly with both, but the gunsmith fit giving the max in that regard. You picked a good way to go on this one. The trigger, was a great 1st step but the Apex barrel will finish the job. Thanks!

I converted both my 9mm M2.0 over to APEX flat-sided triggers and barrels. I chose to use the semi-fit barrels (a 4.25in and 5in). The 4.25in was my first DIY barrel. I went extremely slow, using very hard Arkansas stone for fitting. Took several hours over a 3-4 day period. It came out perfect!
My 2nd M2.0, the 5in, actually fit upon arrival! I panicked for a bit and then gave it a very close inspection. I ended up pleasantly surprised, as this one arrived with a perfect fit! .
All said and done, I too am amazed at just how much the accuracy improved with these APEX barrels. Well worth the cost and effort IMO.
NOTE: Only the <1/8in bottom that is in battery, has to be perfectly fit S2S and flat with no light to be seen. Also, the bottom of the barrel needs to be fitted flat as well. APEX also sends a dremel tip and polish, to polish the feed ramp mirror shiny.
Talk about being a happy camper!!!

I went with a drop-in for the first Apex barrel and semi drop-in for the second. I made a jig to hold things and had no trouble with the fitting for the semi drop-in...just took a little to make it fit perfect. Can't say enough good things about the Apex products.

My edc shield has the apex trigger along with the rest of the components polished best i could for a smooth pull. Such a big improvement. Im building a 2.0 now and will probably go flat faced apex and the barrel im still deciding on. I agree the Apex stuff is very nice!!!

For defense handgun - Apex trigger is enough. Factory barrel works great up to 45 feet... which is definitely OK.

I agree. The trigger will improve a shooter more than a barrel. I got the barrels mostly for the threads.
