First shots with M&P-2 4" compact
Went to my range today and shot 50 rounds of Federal Target ammo. 10 & 15 yards. 100% function and felt great in hand. Shooting with aim but quick combat style. I only load 5 rounds per mag to slow down the shooting with 9mm being like gold.
First shots are hidden under the round target. It's snowing, but I was indoors shooting.
Plain white sights worked great, easy to see at my indoor range. I usually change them but I think I will keep them on.

I hope you wind up liking your 4 inch Compact 2.0 as much as I like mine. They are a fine gun.

Have one on the way, I can't wait for it to come in. This will be my first 2.0. Have a M&P compact in 9mm. But the 2.0s just feel good in the hand. Nice shooting.

Was at my LGS today and for once they actually had handguns available. Had a Mod. 41 and several different versions of the M&P. Had a 2.0 4" 9MM Compact optics ready model for $729. Might be my next gun.

I purchased one a while back along with a Glock 45 and like them both. I did do an Apex Flatty trigger in the M&P and it is the best striker fired trigger that I have felt or experienced to date.

Nice shooting. I have had a ball with mine. Bought my dad a 4" black and a 5" FDE. He's happy, too. I've become a bit of a trigger snob over time so I usually install Apex flat triggers although the stock trigger is as good as any you get in this price range from any manufacturer and better than some. I've kept the stock trigger on my house gun.
Excellent post and happy shooting.

That 4" will give you plenty of fps and should balance nicely in your hands.
Looking at your target it seems that all is well for the first try with that ammo.
It will get even better when it smooths out and you learn that trigger on the weapon.
Enjoy.

Love my 4” compact. Love the fact the full size and compact frames have the same length frame under the barrel. I can switch between my 4” iron sight slide and 4.25” optic slide
