M&P .22LR Compact
Just bought this beauty... What the best ammo to use in it, I normally use CCI Mini mags in my other 22's, any others work well in it.?

CCI MiniMag works perfectly fine.
I've been also using Aguila High Velocity.
Had zero malfunction with both.
To be honest, I prefer Aguila - less cost and smoke smells nicer.
..............................................
EDITED:
- had zero malfunction, after I polished feed ramp and sharp edges of chamber face.

Mini mags are the best, buy I've had great success with CCI Blazers too. They are a bit more dirty, but go bang when you need them to.

So far I haven’t had any issues with any brand. Winchester, CCI, Browning, even Remington Thunderbolts have worked perfectly.

When I had my compact 22, i put 1k issue free rounds thru it including Fed champ, Am Eagle and various Cci mini mags.
But as a Buckmark I have is ammo-finicky I tend to only buy (when able of course) Cci mini mags or Standard velocity rounds in general.
In these trying times, unless i just knew a certain grain or round didnt work I would grab what i could. But I would not buy a ton without having some idea on its performance.

My M&P .22 Compact is a fun gun but it does jam once in a while. It jams with any ammo, even CCI. I'm hoping it's birthing pains.

I have had two - gifted one to a friend a couple years ago. Neither have ever had any problems with what I have fed them. That said, I don’t use any greasy rounds, some Stingers when I can afford them, and always copper-plated. The greasy rds were Geco and I just gave away the last 50-rd box.

I've had mine for about a year (roughly 1000+ rounds) and it's been totally reliable with a mixed bag of ammo.

Mine was the first handgun I bought and my second favorite to shoot behind my M18.
Have mostly run Mini-Mags but I’ve never had an issue with any ammo.

I have run all different kinds of ammo through mine, the only ammo that ever gave me problems was the Winchester in the 100 rd red plastic box.

Mine runs great with MiniMags, as do most 22s. It has also been as reliable with most high velocity 22 ammo as you can expect a 22 to be. With standard velocity ammo I get about one failure every 50 to 100 rounds depending on brand.

I just picked one up a couple of weeks ago just to have another .22 cal pistol. It's a machine! No issues to report. It eats what ever ammo I load in the mags. I have already put about 300 rounds through it without a single issue. I wish I could say that about the Performance center 380 ez I got for the wife!

I use Remington Golden 22lr. Guesstimate 1000 rounds fired. Zero failures to feed and one stuck spent case in the chamber.

I have had my M&P 22 Compact for several years now. I use CCI standard velocity with my Silencerco Sparrow and I can not remember ever having a failure.

I think the Aguila Super extra lead and copper plated round nose is my new favorite ammo honestly. It was $20 for 500 rounds two years ago, and I wish I bought 5000 rounds of it... Last time I saw it only, it was like $179 for the same brick
prices are nuts... I have a few bricks of it left, but only really use it when I am trying for better accuracy. I have a ton of Federal 36 grain jacketed hollow point (form the 1600 rd black packs) and that stuff has been very reliable, and very accurate. Bought it for about 3.7 cents around in 2019 when Dicks stopped selling ammo, also got 500 rd bricks of CCI blazer lead rouns nose for about $17 a box, and it has been pretty reliable, some light loads, and it's dirty, but runs fine in my semi's.
The only stuff I have had issues with recently were the 222, 333, 555 rd packs of Winchester super x hollowpoint. I used to have great luck with it, but the last couple boxes I bought in 2018 or 2019 have had many many duds, loose rounds, and light loads. It won't run in my Ruger LCP II at all. The odd thing is, the Winchester Super X you get in the 100 rd packs is way better quality, have had zero issues with that stuff going bang reliably. The head stamps are actually different, the bulk has Super X on the heads, and the 100 rd slip cases have a script "W" as the headstamp, so either they're made in a different plant, or one is a separate line for sure.
But CCI, Federal, Aguila, SK, Remington (some are better than others), Winchester in the 100rd slip cases, any of those should be reliable if you can find them.

M&p compact
I bought mine about a year ago and have had good experiences with it. I mainly use it for plinking and it has shot any ammo that I have put through it. I tried some Federal Match Auto pistol .22 rounds and was surprised by the accuracy with this load. This gun is lots of fun to shoot.

Mine is very accurate with Federal match. CCI, Federal bulk packs, Federal standard velocity, and Aguila have all run flawless. Remington has always been hit or miss for me. So I tend to stay away from them. But for these times you have get what you can find.
