M&P 2.0 Shield with thumb safety
Gotta question for you guys: As you know from an earlier post I picked up an M&P 2.0 Compact for dirt cheap from a guy consolidating his calibers. He just contacted me moments ago asking me if I wanted his new, unfired M&P 2.0 Shield with thumb safety, 3 7rd mags and 1 8rd mag for $350. At that price I didn't even bother to haggle, agreeing right of the bat to the 350 plus the 15 transfer fee. Here's my question::::
1. This 2.0 Shield, is it the same width as my 2.0 compact 15rd? Will it fit in the same holster, which is a Don Hume IWB by the way.
Thanks in advance

lol... I know people that have more holsters than neckties. Holsters can be cheap, finding the "right" one can get expensive.

That's not a problem at all....
Go to Amazon and buy first "universal holster" you find there...
Cheaper - fits more firearms

My Shield 45 fits pretty well in my holster I use for my M&P40 Compact. Not sure what calibers your guns are.

I was joking about "universal holster from Amazon"... from safety perspective theses are "no go" for me.
But, as I'm guessing, your Don Hume IWB holster is the leather one, so with 0.3" thickness difference between the two handguns you may be able to shrink the holster a little bit to lock thinner Shield in it. Beside this you should be good with fit and draw stroke.

Both 2.0 Shield and Compact are 9mm in caliber. When it comes to accessories, I'm a hoarder. I've been shooting nigh over 50 years now and I've kept all my accessories over the years. Back in the early 80's I purchased a vacuum sealer at a NSC auction and vacuum sealed all my unused weapon accessories to keep them clean and fresh. So far I've got 2 55g barrels full of unused stuff, who knows, maybe it'll come in handy next year LOLOL.

Just a note, I put one of those recover system charging handles on this puppy and it's so dang easy to work now. Prior to this the slide was hard to pull back, but now it's a breeze.

Hopefully the one you'll need isn't at the bottom of the barrel.

Well, I just got back from the range with the Shield 2.0 and 500 rounds of IMI FMJ, not one single malf with the average groupings running under 2.13" at 37ft. After using 150rds of 76gr JHP, my self defense loading for 9mm it again functioned flawlessly. On another note, I put 400 rounds through my new M&P 2.0 Compact, seems the suckers shoot nearly as good. I guess now, I have no choice but to get an M&P 45

I ended up getting both a DeSantis IWB and a Don Hume, and I'll say this, I am seriously considering adding this puppy to the rotation. Just found a source for 8 round factory mags, used but in excellent to new condition for 20 a pop so I got em all, was thinking about those ETS? mags? the smoky plastic ones, but I've never been much into non OEM mags.

Don't waste money on those non factory magazines..
I too picked up a couple extra magazines for $20ea & am happy with what I have = 2.0 9mm Shield..
I thought I had a Don Hume for the Shield but of the three I have two are for my HKs & the 3rd is for a G26 I sold, I did pick up a kydex IWB & a paddle iTac for the shield..
Congrats on the Shield & at current market value you did great.
I saw a 1.0 Shield last week for sale for $569 at a local Pawn shop
Here's mine, Looks just like yours..
Enjoy!!

It's most likely me HeadKnocker, but I'm not in favor of Kydex. I guess, after 50+ years of leather, I find it nigh to impossible to use anything other than leather.

BTW, there are a few Shields on the VAGT forum for sale in the 350 range, give or take 50. Dunno if they'd ship, but if it meant a sale, they'd prob ship it.
Saw 1 shield 1.0 with 3 mags and holster for 350. One of the mags had that hyve baseplate.
Speaking of which, I ordered a bunch of those Hyve aluminum baseplates in red for my mags. Just the plates, not mag extensions. Red lets me know the weapon is loaded, though to be fair, I assume all weapons are loaded unless I've cleared it myself. The one time I took the Gunny's word the 1911 was unloaded he had this "doc" doing KP duty back when it meant work.

For $350 in Today's Market it would be a bargain..
We Paid $250 in Sept 2019 IIRC? for a 2.0 Shield..
As soon as I felt the grip texture & improved trigger it was SOLD..
JFYI I saw a 1.0 Shield 9mm Today with a $569.95 Price Tag, They had a 40 Shield 1.0 & a 2.0 Compact 9 for the same price. YEOWCH!!
