Anybody running a double AIWB?
I have an idea for a double holster using the Tier 1 Concealed Axis Elite. Buy two, one being left hand and the other right hand, remove the spare mag holders, then lace left and right together.
I test fit this on my belly using my son's holster, and it appears that it would work. Two guns right on the belly. If your strong hand is down, your weak hand would have its own weapon.
If your belly isn't wide enough for two 5.5" duty pistols like me, you could choose pocket rocket hi-cap compact pistols instead.
When your buddy says "I have a spare mag right here" you could lift your shirt and say "spare mags are for wimps" or some similar insult among friends.
On the practical side, I do church security. Being able to hand a spare weapon to a second good guy is a huge advantage.
Anybody BTDT?

Well..... congrats, I guess.
You just came up with a variation of the oldest "speedloader," the New York Reload.

While these are not IWB holsters, I very much like the NY Reload
These holsters are made by Bell Charter Oak.
I have had the J-frame one for years. I have been thinking about another one for my Commanders, but a pair of M&P 357s would be pretty cool as well. With the larger pistols this is more of a fun thing than an EDC setup due to the weight. Remember if you are going this route, a good belt is very important
I admit that while working over the last 40 years the two firearms I carried have been a full size on my hip and usually a J-frame on my ankle. The ankle gun is fairly easy to draw with either hand and you do not have all the weight and bulk in a single place
As to being able to hand one firearm off to an associate, personally any associate that I would be comfortable enough to give a firearm to in a crisis, would already be carrying their own defensive firearm

Ah The New York Reload..
Of course they must be the same type of weapon in the same caliber + take the same magazines
Sometimes I carry these two but have to have 38" oversized pants..

I can't even imagine carrying two full size pistols AIWB. I don't have the build to even try it. I am 6'2", 195 pounds, no hips. The belt would have to be cinched too tight.
Some day I'll post about the nerve compression problems I encountered earlier this year after wearing a thick leather gun belt daily for the last few years. I am back to pocket carry or AIWB with just a regular 1.25 inch canvas belt, and the problems resolved.

Just for fun.. or self defence?
I think it's easier to train your off-hand and use AIWB single firearm. Backup pistol is working better when holstered on other place.

I did 35 years, mostly in uniform with the usual gun belt. Even though I tried everything to relieve the pressure, I still ended up with several (9 or 10, IIRC) discs with problems to one degree or another.
Retired 7 years and the problems got worse in spite of all sorts of treatment short of surgery, including an implanted stimulator and a "pain management" program (in reality, drugs) for the last 6. That's why I preach comfort, comfort, comfort and finding the lightest gun you are comfortable with tactically.
Avoid hanging-style holsters and stick to high or near-high-ride types, close to your body to keep the center of gravity closer to where it should be.
Balance equipment from side to side. Think about having your backup in your off-hand pocket and count it as part of your "counterweight."
And if you can get away with it, use nylon gear with the belt doubling as your pants belt. (I was fortunate to work for a department that issued uniform pants with 2-1/4" belt loops. Easy enough to have a tailor add them....) Nylon belts tend to "mold" to your waist contours pretty well, especially thinner/lighter ones and there's less pressure than the hard edges of a 2.25" double-thickness duty-type rig. It's surprising how the tiny amount of movement by a gun belt over a pants belt, secured by keepers or even velcro, is enough to cause hip and back issues.
Anyway, Keep your head down and your attitude up.

Black Hills Leather makes an excellent dual pistol rig. Fit and finish are excellent, fits like a glove. If you go to my user page you can see the holster. I was not able to move it over to the post. Be SAfe,

It never occurred to me, but if your first thoughts about why you want to do are to be able to deliver some sort of insult or toss a pistol to a stranger, you might want to rethink it. But if you're happy, and it's legal (I seem to recall a very few states limit you to one pistol, but I might be making that up), knock your socks off . . .

I had a similar idea, but for pocket carry. I'm working on making some pants that have pockets on both sides. This could be big!

And ... If you get those pants made with two more carry pockets in the rear ... now you have a quadruple carry rig ... !

That would be the 5.11 Brand 'Apex' pants.
2 nice sized slash front pockets and 2 Oversized rear pockets, large enough to conceal my Shield.
BTW: The 2 front Cargo pockets each have 2 inner pouches, perfect for spare mags.

Two full size appendix, two j frames *** in the New York reload rig. Couple spare mags in an ankle carrier and trauma kit on the other ankle. Add in the AR pistol in the satchel as well, and you’re good to go.

I carry my M&P 40 on my right hip and a 6906 in a jackass rig left handed for that reason. Changing guns is faster than changing mags.
But......as someone who spent 17 years running armed security companies, including at religious centers.. DO NOT hand a gun to someone who you arent 100% positive has training, and knows who the badguy is. Because if he accidentally offs someone's grandmother, youre an accessory to murder, manslaugher at least. Keep ya guns to yaself.
