What are the reviews about the M&P 2.0 9mm high cap 4" HG's. I handled one and it seemed to rattle some. Might they be up to entertainment accy, 15yd beer cans? I am real happy with my Shield 45 as a comparison. I could not shoot my 39-2 worth a bucket of spit. A match shooter told me the 39 was a "difficult pistol to master".

Regular M&P 2.0 is definitely better to manage than any Shield line handgun.
I know competition shooters who use 5" version, I'm not sure if 4" will be close.
I was carrying M&P9 M2.0 4.25" and 15yd was the max I felt comfortable. Easy to shoot, fits hand, stays firmly in the hand, light recoil (lighter spring and Apex kit). But in my case - hard to keep accuracy beyond 15 yds.
It might be me, but with 2011 pistol I do not have that limitation anymore.

If you're happy with a Shield, the larger gun should shoot at least as well.

Guns that seem loose can still shoot fine, but guns with better tolerances generally shoot better. Because S&W QC allows for tolerances broad enough not to impede mass manufacturing, some guns will be looser than others. Maybe handle a few others to see if any feel tighter?

FWIW, I have a 9mm Full Size V. 1 that came from the factory very tight and with an excellent barrel. The trigger was not good, so I replaced it with APEX parts. Rested at 10 yards 5 shots can be covered by a quarter. That gun can hit beer cans at 15 yards all day if I shoot well.
