M&P9 4" with Optic
Just ordered one from Sportsman warehouse. $569 shipping included. With tax and then FFL fee it'll be $624.
I was going to wait for the flat trigger but just couldn't pass up.

You can always go with "APEX Polymer Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger Kit for M&P M2.0" later. This will give you even better trigger than S&W flat one.

Yes, it is worth all the money.
Surprisingly the Apex Set cost only $99
I bought it last year for $165... but even the price was high I never regretted it. My M&P9 M2.0 became completely different handgun. I left trigger pull weight at 5 lb but the feel was like around 3.5 lb. Soooo nice

Just be darn sure you really want a flat trigger . I hate them including apex . All our use the apex curved triggers with the the FST kits . Mines has a thumb safety too so a 3.5lb or a little less trigger pull is very nice on my 4" 2.0 compact sku 13144 . No 5lbs does not feel like 3.5lbs . The kit comes with different combos of parts and different pull weights you can get BUT use the stock pluger spring and stock trigger return spring will give a light pull weight .

Trigger feel is subjective, each of us will get different feeling.
I always compare triggers to my 1911s which have exactly 3.5 lb pull (measured).
Factory M&P M2.0 hinged trigger in my pistol had 5 lb measured pull and felt like this.
Apex Flat Trigger Set with factory "trigger return spring" left 5 lb measured, but the trigger pull was very close to 1911 pull. That's because it was no gritty nor harsh anymore and became very smooth .

Nope, I bought mine two years ago, "Optic Ready" wasn't an option yet.
$540 for your M&P9C is a good buy. Congrats!

Yes came with optic, I have not recieved it yet. I have 2 shield plus' with the flat trigger, really like them. Took my 4" 2.0 compact to the range today, non optic ready with the curved trigger and had no problem with it. I did move the front sight to the left a bit and it was shooting dead on at about 20 yards.

Hard not to like a nicely tined 1911 trigger pull and they can make for a fine daily carry. Might be the difference between your m&p and mine maybe the stoning and polishing on the connector where it rubs and presses on the striker block. Don't think the plunger spring would make much difference in our pull weights to get a 3.5lb pull and thumb safeties.

Not wanting to highjack the thread but I have a question. I have a 2.0 compact. I have been wondering if S&W would sell the optics ready slide only for the 2.0 compact, that way I could switch back and forth? Has anyone researched this?

I have the MP Compact 2.0 optics ready. Note if you plan on getting an RMR, the Delta Point Pro is by far the best red dot. The battery is on top and unlike the Sig Romeo, where it is so easy to cross thread the battery cover, the DDP has a spring loaded flip up hatch as well as magntized so you can just place battery and shut the cover in place you are done.
Second, I have apex Flat trigger in my other MP 2.0 and yes it makes a difference but the one thing I do not like is the lack of audio reset. and because my hands are on smaller size, the flat trigger makes it harder for me to reach. I do like the stock hinged trigger because the curved part makes for easier to reach trigger.

I have already looked into this but no they do not sell slides alone. There could be aftermarket slides but don't know any makers that do
