Any suggestions for a good compact light? Just picked up a shield plus a few weeks ago and I can't seem to find a good light that is flush. Also grabbed the Recover Tactical pic rail adaptor as I figured it would be easier to find something for a pic rail than Shield specific

The only light that I know of that will work properly on your compact pistol is the Olight PL-Mini Valkyrie. Check them out. They are good weapon lights that won't break the bank.

No needs for rail adaptor.

How are you going to attach the TLR6, or any other pistol light on for that matter, other than proprietary, on a Shield that doesn't come with a bottom rail? That's why the OP had to add one. The PL-Mini is the smallest light you'll find for a compact.

M&P Compact is still bigger than Shield Plus, so PL-Mini may stick out in front of the muzzle level. (Unless OP owns Plus 4", but I doubt). Additionally there is no guarantee it will fit together with rail adapter.

I recommended TLR6, because this one is setup for handguns without Picatinny rail. You need to choose version for your handgun, and it fits perfectly fine.

I saw this set up on Amazon. Viridian C5 on the recover tactical rail. US made and 7 years warranty.

The only thing I’ve found without adding a lot of bulk, and as others have said, is the TLR-6. It’s been off my Shield for a while because I didn’t have a decent holster, but I recently ordered two pocket holsters (right and left hand) for the Shield/TLR-6 so I’ll be re-installing it this week.

The light isn’t the brightest, but it’s better than nothing and the laser can have it’s place if one knows how to use it right.

i believe the TLR-7A or 7SUB will work w/ this recover tactical rail. Wondering if anyone has any experience w/ that.

Before you choose a light, you might want to see if holsters are available for the pistol-rail-light combo you're thinking about buying.

TLR6 is available for use with and w/o rails. I have the no rail version on one of my Shield +'s, mounts very well and looks factory. Never a problem at the range either. But, holsters are a problem if your're not a fan of kydex only. My Shield with the light/laser is my nightstand gun until a nice leather/hybrid holster comes along.

Me too for the same reasons. The Shield9 and the Plus have been around for a decade. Hard to believe I can't find a holster for the Baldr mini light/laser.

The Recover pic rail combined with the Baldr Mini is super compact and feels very close to the Shield Plus without the light/laser.

Edit: Sorry, I couldn't get the pic with Shaggy to come out in a horizontal position. You can't see the green laser very well in this picture but Shaggy can. In real life it's brighter than the light.

Yep, a holster for the Shield Plus with a TLR6 would be nice.

It appears the DeSantis Mini Scabbard is made for the Shield 9mm including Plus with the TLR6 laser/light mounted. Anyone have one?

Look up Azula leather holsters. I believe that they also make a holster for the Shield with TLR6 light .

Ordered DeSantis Mini Scabbard for Plus with TLR 6 on 12/21. Incredibly, delivered TODAY 12/24! My Plus with TLR 6 light/laser installed fits the Mini Scabbard nice & tight as expected with slight adjustment of tension screw. Covered Plus with plastic bag and re-inserted for holster break-in period as recommended. Happy Camper.
