New M&P bodyguard 308: works well
Just picked up a new M&P Bodyguard .380 (no laser).
Got to the range today and fired 60 rounds. Not a single malfunction. Gun is accurate for its size and the trigger is similar to my J-frame.
It’s a snappy little gun to be sure, but in my estimation, it’s very well made. The frame has very substantial metal frame rails, and the machining in the slide and barrel are flawless.
After shooting it today, I’m impressed at how a pistol this small and light can work so well. .380 may not be impressive, but it is not joke in an 11 oz. Pistol smaller than my IPhone.
I’m a fan of this pistol.

Put Talon (rubber) grips on my 380. It feels better in the hand and gives a better grip when you draw from the holster.
First pic is with Talon grip.
Second pic is gun in my Vedder kydex holster.
Third pic shows gun with bright yellow Testor’s model paint.
Forth pic is range day with Precision One 90gr XTP bullets.
It’s a great little gun! Enjoy!

I did something similar, but went with the Hogue handall. Completely transformed how my BG feels. I shoot it better too. Increase in size was negligible.
Congrats on your purchase. I carry mine a lot. Now if they would just come out with a Bodyguard Plus ala the LCP MAX.

mine...[more than one] have been very reliable, and very accurate. mine have the laser and if i had to buy them again, they would still have the laser. i carry in a Vedder Pocket Locker and that is a perfect combination. when the sun sets i put the Body Guard in a pocket. when my pup has to go outside at night, the BG goes in the pocket of my sweat pants.
they have been around for 11 years and i'm guessing they will be around for many more. one thing most will agree on, they are liked alot, or they are loathed. doesn't seem to be much middle ground. just keep them clean and well lubed.

I carried mine in an ankle holster as a back up weapon for years. I love mine and I am very accurate with it even at 50 feet. I would trust my life with mine no doubt. Awesome little gun.

Glad to hear there are others that find the pistol useful and reliable.
Like I said, I was impressed today at the range, in terms of its reliability, accuracy, and pretty vicious bark.
It's definitely NOT a pistol for a new shooter or someone who will not devote some serious training to shoot it well. it's a last ditch, arms length pocket gun that can be safely carried in a pocket, not bigger than a smart phone.

I couldn’t be happier with my Bodyguard .380 pistol. Mine too is the model without a laser, and I specifically sought it out that way. The little gun has proven to be reliable and accurate with a size that makes it easy to carry anywhere. I know that looks are a very subjective thing, but I also think the Bodyguard is a better looking pistol than most of the other little pocket guns on the market. The trigger is long and heavy which in my opinion is a good thing on a gun of this type. Of the dozens of pistols I’ve owned, my Bodyguard is definitely in my top five favorites.

I would like one. Got rid of my first one due to the "light strike" issue. Have the "newer" examples solved this issue ??

comparing size on Handgun Hero, they are basically identical in size.
