Question Max charges for my 10mm

I've fired factory loads and Hot max charges out of my S&W 2.0 10mm. It seems to function just fine. Is this handgun built tougher than the 40 and 45? Can it take the heavy loads like a Glock MOD 20 can? Hated the trigger in the Glock.

I presume it was built to handle anything that met SAAMI specs! It also handled a few proof loads before shipping so it should be good to go!

I’ve had my M&P 10mm for a little over a week and have put some pretty warm loads through it. Hottest so far are 180 grain XTP over 8.6 grains longshot and 200 grain Hy-Tek coated lead round nose over 8.0 grains longshot. Not totally pushing the envelope, but way hotter than standard commercial range fodder. My round count is close to 900 and I’ve seen no issues when cleaning the M&P.

I’ve been shooting 180 XTPs over Blue Dot at 1250 fps from a 4.6”.

This isn’t a nuclear hot load, but it certainly isn’t a .40 S&Win-10mm-clothing load either. I worked up slightly hitter in load development, but this load was noticeably more accurate at 15 yards than the stuff pushing to the top end.

I’m sure fit sny purpose a 180 gr XTP is a good choice this load till get the job done.

What is this new underlying concept (for some?) on the Smith & Wesson Forum that firearms are not manufactured to safely and efficiently fire the ammunition for which they are designed? They aren't selling a "M&P Model 9 and 3/4th mm", are they?

A.K.A., all those K-frames that are supposedly going to fall apart if 357 Magnum ammo is ever used, or that will clog & blow up from the use of 38 Specials?

Between this trend and the "bunny fart" reloads it just makes me wonder...?

Sheesh!

P.S. Check out Underwood's ballistic data...

Stay with factory loads or reloads using reloading data.
