Default Apex Fully Machined Sear Questions for M2.0

I've owned six M&P pistols and six Glocks in my life. I've done just about everything to a Glock but I've never worked on any of my M&Ps beyond installing sights. So I finally decided to install an Apex 2-Dot Fully Machined Sear on my M&P9 M2.0 Subcompact. The trigger was pretty good, but the reset could use some improvement and the trigger could be lighter.

First question: What does the 2-dot stand for? I assume it has nothing to do with M2.0 since this is also for the M&P 45 and original Shield. Is it because the sear looks different having two holes in addition to the center hole the pin runs through? It's not important but I was just curious.

Second question: Was it as easy for you to install as demonstrated in that VHS-quality video they're still using? If you ask me the guy oversimplified the installation to the point of being deceiving. He made it look like if you kept the trigger housing level the sear actuator wouldn't fall out, but mine did. And then of course the plunger fell out while I was negotiating with the actuator and I started to realize I should have taken pictures because I was having trouble orientating everything. I finally figured it out, but it's a little aggravating that the video lacked specificity and had the resolution of a cheap Betamax.

Third question: Did anyone installing this product notice an "improved reset" as advertised? I don't think I noticed any difference whatsoever. It's not very short (just short enough like the factory in my opinion).

I did notice a very modest improvement in over-travel. It no longer mildly pinches my finger! Honestly I thought I was going to have to drop the money on a forward reset to eliminate this, but this worked! (at least on the current backstrap I'm using. It's funny how the fleshy part of a trigger can get hung up or not depending on the ergonomics involved).

Fourth question: Does anyone know if the forward set trigger shortens the reset significantly? And if so, how does it compare to other triggers like the SIG SRT, PPQ/PDP, or LTT Beretta triggers?

Fifth question: What kind of pull weights did you get and are you happy with it? My trigger was reduced from about 5.5 lbs. on average to just over 4 lbs. (4.1 exactly according to my Lyman Digital scale). Are you happy with that for a carry pistol, or do you think it's too light?

I think the fully machined sear was worth the $45, but I'm not sure I want my striker-fired trigger only 4 lbs. on a carry gun. I have SA triggers nearly as light on my SIG P229 and Beretta PX4 Storm, but the M&P doesn't have a heavier initial DA pull like my DA/SA pistols.

Thanks in advance for weighing in.
