M&P Fiber Optic Sights
Wondering what the assembled multitudes think about the best options for a FO front sight for an M&P? I have used examples from Proctor, Dawson, and Novak on other guns but don't know if any particular brand is more favored for these guns. Thanks.

I use Dawson because they always seem to have the height I need.
Fitting the Dawson is easy; getting the originals out can be challenging

Really happy with the fiber optics on my PC Shield Plus. Very bright! But, they're not not sights.

I don’t know if there are “better” options, but my son uses Dawsons on his M&P, and he’s quite pleased.
I installed them for him, and while swapping M&P sights is more painful than it should be (as has already been mentioned), there were no insurmountable challenges.

You could visit your nearest hobby lobby or like store and look at the testers paint colors can be right impressive and alcohol clean the sight and place a dot on over the white dot ,

Thanks for the suggestions, I will take a look.
(I've tried the fluorescent paint route before and didn't feel that was what I was looking for. I live in a place where it's almost always sunny outside and FO sights work well for me in that regard.)

Dawson's always seem to be the brightest for me on my guns.

How do people with fiber optic sites deal with low light conditions. Unless they have some sort of tritium to light them I'm not sure I could use those. Do Dawson fiber optic sights have any tritium in lighting them?

i use factory sights, i'm afraid the smith might gouge the finish on my gun because m&p rear sights are notoriously tight fitted

No, the Dawsons do not glow in the dark.
I had night sights (Ameriglo Hackathorns) on my two “carry” Glocks…until I actually shot a low-light training class. I never needed the tritium. If there was enough light to ID my target, I could see my sights, either directly or in silhouette. I pulled out a fiber-sighted gun and shot even better, as the thinner front was faster to acquire.
I’ve put nothing but fiber on my guns since, and I’ve never bought another set of night sights.
This is my experience only. Others’ mileage may vary.
