M&P Shield holsters
Hi all! New guy here. From NJ, yes I know…..BUT just maybe we will enjoy freedom soon. Anyway, I’m hoping dreams come true and concealed carry will be in the cards for us very soon. If that day does come, I’m hoping to carry a Shield Plus….and looking for feedback on a Tulster Oath vs a Tier 1 Xiphos. Anyone have any comments on either?? Thanks guys….hoping to contribute a lot in the future. Please move this if I’m not in the right forum!

No ban here. We can buy any Shield. Just have to get the ten round mags.

Tulster makes a good product, own one of their OWB Kydex holsters for a different gun. I have a Galco Master Combat on order for my Shield Plus. Bit pricey, but I liked the reviews I seen, hope this helps you.

I can't speak to the two that you mention, but I am very happy with my Hidden Hybrid IWB holster for my Shield Plus PC 3.1 barrel.

Really happy with Urban Carry Lockleather for OWB and Aliengear Shapeshifter for IWB. Both almost perfectly comfortable.

I can't speak for the Tulster Oath but I do carry my Shield in one of their Profile holsters. Nice product, they're made about 8 or 9 miles from here.
I saw a suggestion for Alien Gear. Their products get a bad rap in some places but I have some of their holsters and have been satisfied with them. The Cloak Tuck is a slimmer option for the pistols like the Shield. That was what I used before I switched to the Tulster. The Shape Shifter has some merits but compared to the Cloak Tuck it's a little bulky.

If you're thinking of extremely well-made holsters for your M&P Shield, IMO you can't do better than a made-to-order holster from Mascholster.com. (I am not affiliated with them).
They are located in the country of Turkey, BUT their leather is excellent and they deliver the finished product in 5 to 6 days!

Best holster I have for the Shield is a Crossbreed Mini Tuck
The most handy is a IWB Kydex I bought for $15 locally
Today while at a pawn shop they had a M&P Shield 9mm 1.0 for $288.99
Prices are starting to almost normalize after the inflation of the pandemic, paid $249.99 for the 2.0 Shield back in 2019

Holsters are such a personal choice, what works for me may not for you.
I prefer Don Hume IWB all leather.

I use the Vedder IWB light tuck kydex for my 1.0 PC Sheild 9. It's very thin, comfortable, retains well and feather light. I don't like Kydex much but I hate holsters that are bulkier than the gun it carries.

Out here in Kalifornia I’m an M&P Shield daily carry with a Cross Breed IWB holster. Love it.

I use We the People Leather Independence, Exarchy Omerga G2 Craftsman, and MTR Slimline Pancake for all OWB carry all guns
We the People Kydex, Super / Mini Tucks, and MTR Slimline Tuckable for all IWB
I have ordered some OWB from Tucker Gunleather recently waiting on 2 but the EZ Carry seems it's going to comfortably do what was intended.

I am currently using an Urban Carry. I think they are awesome. I have it for my 5" M&P 2.0 and CSX. I have the mag pouch add on. I have been carrying for the last 20+ years and Urban is the best I have had to date.

I really like the LAG Defender for a Kydex holster. I'll always prefer leather. It's convertible from iwb to owb (how I use it, conceals great under a t-shirt). Lots of options out there, not sure there's any one "best".
