I'm not too fond of the mechanics of step 26 that shows scrubbing the breechface with the muzzle end of the slide up. I think this lets too much liquid/carbon/fouling to go seep down into the firing pin channel, where it can lead to misfires. I prefer to remove the striker beforehand so that I can make sure that area is free of gunk or clean it with a rag while muzzle down with very little cleaner.
